Fishing Rivers and High Mountain Lakes
Ennis is centrally located to some of the best fishing in the
world. The Madison River winds its way through the valley providing
superb wade and float fishing opportunities.
In addition, we can provide guided trips to a number of rivers within a short
driving distance: Madison, Ruby, Big Hole, Missouri, Beaverhead, Gallatin,
Yellowstone, and a couple of the small streams which are only accessible to a
few outfitters. Consider taking a day or two away from the local rivers
for a memorable horseback ride into the Lee Metcalf Wilderness or Yellowstone
Park to fish one of the many high country lakes. The spectacular
views and abundant wildlife are a bonus while fishing for rainbow and cutthroat
trout in the crystal clear streams and lakes.

Horseback Riding and Pack
Trips
Enjoy an open campfire with family and friends, fish the high mountain lakes,
or explore the surrounding high country while you relax in Montana's
backcountry. For safety reasons, we make an effort to limit our
horseback riders to a maximum of 250 pounds.
Pack Trips
Customized pack trips are available into the Lee Metcalf Wilderness or
Yellowstone National Park. Pack trips unlock miles of remote
backcountry which is untouched and seldom seen by other vacationers.
I recommend the following gear for pack trips: jeans, long sleeved
shirt, hat, sweater, warm jacket, rain gear, gloves, riding boots, sneakers
(for around the camp), pocket flashlight, water bottle, camera, sleeping bag
and pad, chapstick and sunscreen, insect repellant, personal toilet articles
and medications.

Horseback
Riding
If an extended pack trip isn't for you, enjoy a day of horseback
riding. We believe there is no better way to experience Montana's
big sky than on horseback. We have horses available for all age
groups and riding levels, and will match you with the perfect horse prior to
departing. Day rides depart in the morning with a sack lunch
provided. Plan to return mid- to late afternoon depending on the
individual group's activities. Activities to be enjoyed during the
ride may include short hikes, fishing, or relaxing in a mountain meadow.
